About Us
We are a by-skaters, for-skaters nonprofit league of dedicated athletes, officials and volunteers. We are members of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), an international governing body establishing rules, safety standards and rankings. South Coast Roller Derby (SCRD) hosts two adult teams, including a WFTDA-ranked competitive team.
Above all, SCRD is an athletic, competitive organization. We pride ourselves on the strength of our diversity. We foster leadership, empower skaters, and set a high bar for sportsmanship. The skaters of SCRD train year-round, bringing the dynamic sport of roller derby to fans of all ages. We support causes that impact lives of our local community and all skaters.

Mission Statement
South Coast Roller Derby has been formed for the purposes of training for and competing in the sport of Roller Derby, at an amateur level in National and International competitions. We are a skater run roller derby league that follows the rules and regulations developed and maintained by the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association.
Our mission is to train dedicated amateur athletes to compete in flat-track roller derby on a national and international level; to develop and empower women with the physical and mental strength of a competitive athlete; to contribute to and benefit the greater roller derby community and our Southern California community by providing sporting entertainment for our fans and offering support to charitable causes that impact the lives of women, children, and the LGBTQ+ community.
